Is this sturdy enough for my large dog?

These heavy duty aluminum steps should hold an animal up to 200 lbs..

Will this work with any vehicle?

These steps accordian open and closed and can be opened fully to extend "flatter" for lower vehicle entry. Of course, they can be opened less making them slightly steeper for taller vehicles like trucks. For side entry, you will need a door that opens fully for clearance.

Will my dog feel stable while using these steps?

Yes. These steps have rubber pads on the "arms" that extend into the vehicle which stablize the steps. They also come with a safety strap and clip that hook onto the trunk latch giving you extra assurance and stability.
