What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a natural compound (cannabinoid) found in the cannabis plant family. It is one of the most beneficial cannabinoids found in the cannabis family and is most predominately found in hemp plants. 

Is Pet CBD legal and regulated?

Under the Farm Bill of 2018, hemp-derived CBD products and their constituents are mostly legal in all 50 states if they contain a THC percentage of 0.3% or below. While they are mostly legal, they are not currently regulated. The Squeaky Toy partners with Pet Releaf because as a CBD company, it’s important to them that there are laws being created to regulate CBD to ensure that people can purchase CBD that is high-quality. One of the organizations leading the charge is the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, which Pet Releaf is a part of. It stays up to date with the newest innovations, regulations, and policies within the industry. It prioritizes educating customers, policymakers, and businesses about the benefits and the safety of hemp-derived CBD, as well as advocating for legislation that ensures the safety and legality of CBD products for both humans and our beloved pets. 

Will CBD give my pet psychoactive effects?

Pet CBD products will never get your pet “high”. There are also no known overdoses on full spectrum hemp oil among animals. 

What does the term “full-spectrum” mean?

Broad-spectrum CBD contains all of the beneficial compounds found in phytocannabinoid-rich hemp. It does NOT include any THC. 

How does CBD work in my pet's body?

Humans and animals alike all have an endocannabinoid system (ECS). When CBD oil is consumed, it activates your dog’s ECS. The ECS then creates a two-way communication system between the brain and other systems in your pet’s body, such as the nervous system, immune system, digestive system, and more. This is why you may hear about CBD helping out in so many areas of the body.

Can my pet become addicted to CBD?

There no evidence CBD can be addictive.

How can CBD help benefit my pet?

CBD may promote calmness, a healthy immune system, healthy hip and joints, and a healthy digestive system. We recommend administering your pet’s recommended usage amount daily to support their overall wellness. 

Do we need a prescription from our Vet for CBD products? 

No. Since all Pet Releaf products are 100% natural, you will not need a veterinarian to prescribe our products. We do recommend letting your vet know that you are using CBD products, so they have a full picture of your pet’s health profile.

How do I know how much to give my pet?

Start out with the product package’s recommended usage amount based on your pet’s weight and slowly increase the amount of product given until you see desired results. Each animal has a unique body and metabolism that impacts things like response time and usage, so results differ from pet to pet. Some pet parents see results within 30 minutes of administering products while others don’t notice an impact until a couple days after giving their companion the recommended usage. While you should monitor your pet’s response to determine the ideal amount of product to use, rest assured that there are no known or documented overdoses on a full spectrum CBD hemp product.  How long do the effects of CBD treats last for dogs?

The effects of CBD treats last different lengths of time for each dog. Determining factors are your dog’s weight, age, health, and metabolism. Your veterinarian can help you determine how long you should wait between doses. 

Can I give CBD products alongside the other medications or pharmaceuticals my pet is currently prescribed?

 Yes. CBD products have no known contraindications and can safely be administered alongside the other medications your pet is on. We would always recommend consulting with your vet when introducing CBD products into your pet’s daily regimen.

Can pets have the same CBD as humans?

 It all depends on the kind of CBD you are purchasing for yourself. If you’re going to your local dispensary, there may be a chance that you are purchasing CBD derived from the marijuana plant. Although marijuana and hemp both stem from the cannabis family, marijuana and hemp have many differences. The hemp plant is very low in THC and very high in CBD, while the marijuana plant is the exact opposite. Unfortunately, pets cannot metabolize THC the same way that humans do. It could be potentially dangerous for your pet to be administered a CBD oil that has high levels of THC and if that does occur, an emergency trip to your veterinarian may be in the best interest for your pet. We recommend going with a pet CBD brand for your beloved pet companion, as it’s important to make sure all ingredients are pet-friendly and that you’re administering the right potency based on your pet’s size. 

How long will one bottle of CBD Hemp Oil last my pet?

 Each of our oil bottles contains 30 full droppers. In order to find out how long a bottle will last you, simply divide the daily recommended amount by 30!

Can my healthy pet take CBD products?

Absolutely! Our CBD products may provide a boost to the immune system and a normal inflammatory response. Whether your dog is young or a senior, pets of all ages can benefit from CBD.

Should I purchase a chew or a hemp oil for my pet?

The method of administration should be tailored to the individual. On the other hand, a finicky small dog may not allow administration of a liquid directly into the mouth even though it is the best choice for exact dosing, and a concentrated extract may be excellent economical choice for a large dog.

Many of our Wellness products are available as a subscription. This means that your products will automatically be shipped to you monthly, erasing the stress of remembering to reorder. Do I need an account to use Subscription Service?

Yes! In order for us to process your purchase automatically, we need to have your shipping information; which is only possible with an account. Furthermore, having an account will allow you to track and manage all your subscriptions. But don’t worry! Creating an account is extremely easy and FREE. You will be prompted to set up your account during the checkout experience.

Am I able to cancel my subscription?

When will my subscription ship? 

Subscriptions will automatically be shipped so your products arrive approximately every 30 days.

Are the Wellness Products made and shipped from the USA?

YES. All wellness supplements are made and shipped from the USA. 

How long does it take to ship my order?

Typically orders ship within 1 business day (not including holidays). The exception might be a piece of gear that is being shipped from overseas. For such orders, expect 2-4 days of processing prior to shipping.

Is the sizing chart accurate?

Yes, it is pretty accurate.  We do recommend that you carefully measure your pet as the diagram shows to make sure you get the correct size. This is especially important when measuring for wheelchairs.  Please do not guess!  This will lead to returns and frustrations. 

Can I return an item? 

YES. If your order has not arrived (lost) or has been received in damaged condition, please notify our support team at TheMainSqueaker@TheSqueakyToy.com to file a claim.

All items may be returned within 30 days of receipt. You are responsible for paying for shipment of products back to our offices. Please contact us first for directions and address for shipping. 

Lost Orders: If the shipment has been lost, we will file a trace with the carrier to locate your order. If the shipment is found, the package will be delivered. If the shipment is unable to be located, we will issue full credit back to your account or re-order your items at your request.

Damaged Orders: If an order has been received damaged, please take photos of the damaged item as well as the box it arrived in and send those images along with the order number to TheMainSqueaker@TheSqueakyToy.com. The Squeaky Toy will file a damage claim with the carrier. Once a claim has been filed, we can either reship the order to you at our cost or issue a full refund.
